Wisdom of the Eagle Tribe: Totem
22" tall 2007 $2200
Much like the totem carving from ancient Native Cultures, there is a great sense of mystery surrounding this sculpture, perhaps enhanced by the undecipherable pictograph markings. From bottom to top: owl, half man/half eagle, man, eagle, meditating man. This totem is created completely in clear glass, which has been free-hand hot sculpted. The final step is sandblasting.

The imagery of this totem contemplates the adaptation of old ways, and honors those who came before. From bottom to top: owl, frog, man, man, sea turtle. This totem is created from hand sculpted solid hot glass, then it is sandblasted. No molds or forms were used in this completely free-hand process. It is mounted to Oregon maple burl and has pure copper accents and antique Native American trade beads.
